A large asteroid has been struck in space and is now moving on a path that will cause it to hit Earth and land on Augusta, GA. The President of The United States has gathered the worlds top scientist, you, to create a report that will debrief him on what will happen when the asteroid strikes and what to do to avoid many deaths.

This is an assignment done as a class. The objective is to learn what cause a meteor/asteroid impact to be more or less devastating. To accomplish this students drop different sized marbles at varying distance into a tub full of flour with a thin layer of coco on top. Students measure the impact ejecta ray distance and draw conclusions based on their findings. All data and observations are recorded in their science notebook.
